Dr. Patricio Sebastian Espinosa, MD, MPH. Co-Founder & CEO

Dr. Espinosa is a Neurologist with Epilepsy training. Dr. Patricio S. Espinosa is a leading Neurologist who founded International Neurology Foundation (INF) in 2011 with his wife, Dr. Yaira Garzon, he serves as a volunteer Chief Executive Officer.

Dr. Espinosa received his MD from Universidad Central del Ecuador in 2000. He was the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship to complete a Masters’ Degree in Public Heath from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD in 2002.  In 2003, he completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Dementia at the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center at University of Kentucky followed by an internship and residency in Neurology at the University of Kentucky where he served as Chief Resident in the Department of Neurology. He completed a Fellowship in Neurophysiology, Epilepsy and Sleep Disorders at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA in 2008.

Dr. Espinosa has been Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology since 2009 and has been conducting clinical trials since 2001 at the University of Kentucky, Brigham and Women’s Hospital,  North Oaks Hospital, LA and ECommunity Research, LLC, LA.

He was the Director of the Neurology Division of the Neurociescience Institute at North Oaks Hospital in Hammond, LA from 2012 until 2015. He co-founded ECommuty Research, LLC in 2012.

Currently he is the Director of the Neurology Division of the Marcus Neurociescience Institute in Boca Raton, FL

Dr. Espinosa regularly authors scientific publications for medical journals and presents his research around the world. He serves on scientific editorial and advisory boards and performs peer reviews articles. 

Yaira Garzon, MD, MSHS, CCRC, CO-Founder & Administrative Officer

Dr. Garzon is a General practitioner working in Clinical Research who founded International Neurology Foundation (INF) in 2011 with her husband, Dr. Patricio S. Espinosa, She serves as a volunteer Administrative officer.

Dr. Yaira Garzon received her Medical degree from the Universidad Central del Ecuador in 2001.  From 2002 to 2006 she acted as the Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) at the Neurology Department at the University of Kentucky where she became a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator.  From 2006 to 2008 she was a Monitor for PAREXEL International, a Contract Research Organization (CRO).  In 2009, she became the Manager/Clinical Study Coordinator at North Oaks Hospital for the Department of Neurology.

Dr. Garzon received her Master’s degree  in Clinical Research Administration from The George Washington University in January 2012. In 2012 Dr. Garzon co-founded ECommunity Research, LLC.
