What happend during the mission?
We evaluated a total of 245 patients with neurological complaints. Most of the patients were from urban and rural areas of the Napo Province. Of the total number of patients evaluated, 129 had epilepsy, 54% were under 14 years old. A total of 37 EEGs were performed, as well as 92 CT scans. Medications were available continuously free of charge in the local hospital pharmacy, supplied by the Ministry of Health of Ecuador.
